of the following Customs Non-Tariff Notifications received from the
Ministry of Finance, New Delhi is enclosed herewith for the information
of Trade,
Public and others concerned. |

The
Trade and importers are hereby apprised that the rate of interest
on warehoused goods under Section 61(2) of the Customs Act, 1962 stands
prescribed
as a flat rate of 24% per annum effective from 16-03-01 as per this
notification and the graded rate of interest prescribed as per Notification
30/99 dated 12-5-99
(copy enclosed for ready reference) stands abolished wef 16-03-01. |
