In pursuance of Office Order No.178/2002 dated 9.11.2002 of Government of India, Ministry of Finance and Company Affairs, Department of Revenue, New Delhi. Shri V.S. Krishnan, I.R.S. has assumed the charge of Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) Bangalore/Mangalore on 15.11.2002 in the Office of the Commissoner of Customs (Appeals), "Nirmithi Building", Ground floor, MSIL Complex, Airport Road Bangalore. ( Phone No. 5226583.)

All the appeals ( both Central Excise and Customs) will be received at the Appeals Unit in the CR Building, till 31.12.2002 to have the continuity in appeal numbers till the end of the year.

The appeals by the assessees/ Department pertaining to the Customs will be accepted at the Nirmithi Building from 1st January 2003.
