1.>            This is in continuation to the earlier Public Notice No. 121/2005 dated 23.9.2005 and 03/2006 dated 03.01.2006 issued by this Commissionerate wherein a deadline of 15.01.2006 was fixed for creation of a centralized Custom House Agents Directory. As some of the Custom House Agents have not yet filed their applications, it has not been possible to complete the necessary activities by the target date set.

2.>         In view of the above, Custom House Agents who have not applied so far, are hereby reminded to expedite the submission of the information necessary for the preparation of Directories as per the procedure prescribed vide Public Notice No. 121/2005 latest by 23^rd June, 2006.

3.>         All Custom House Agents may note that from 1^st July, 2006, they will not be able to use their current registrations and will have to use their newly issued PAN based registrations. The Custom House Agents without the PAN based registration will not be able to use their current registrations and will have to use their newly issued PAN based registrations.

4.>         The Custom House Agents Association is required to give wide publicity to this Notice and work towards the timely completion of the above exercise.
